THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME...
On the eve of her graduation from an exclusive private school, shy wallflower Semantha Heavenstone is caught in a whirl of scandal and betrayal. Now, she's returned to the grand Kentucky mansion where painful memories of her mother and her older sister, Cassie, are as potent as newly mown bluegrass. It seems no matter where she goes, Semantha is haunted by a voice from the grave — spiteful, domineering Cassie, whose taunts and manipulations seem as real as when she was alive.

...AND NO END TO THE NIGHTMARE

Soon her father will remarry, new memories — and a new stepmother — will replace the past...and Semantha herself has a chance at a bright future with a career inside the Heavenstone empire and handsome Ethan Hunter by her side. But someone will see to it that Semantha never forgets the tragedies of yesterday. Will Cassie's ghostly hold on Semantha destroy her hope and drive her to madness?
MY REVIEW
This is the second book in the Heavenstone series. It was trash plain and simple and I loved it,you should know by now any book written under the name V.C. Andrews is gonna be. That's also exactly why I read it,sometimes trashy is fun to read and I've already read the first book and was curious to what was gonna happen. There were some dull parts, not gonna lie, but anyone who likes V.C. Andrews books will probably like this one as well.Semantha has graduated high school and is dealing with her father remarrying a woman(Lucille) she just doesn't like, also dealing with her own romantic relationship with a guy(Ethan) she met while in school. Semantha also deals with the pain and lonliness she feels for giving her daughter up after the whole mess in the first book and is haunted by her dead sister Cassie. Soon she starts taking some of the advice Cassie's ghost is giving her and gets herself in a few messes while other times sticking up for herself and having more confidence in herself. It's a book full of more tragedy for the Heavenstone family.

SECRETS ARE AT HOME HERE . . .
The Heavenstone sisters live with their mother and father in a grand old mansion in bluegrass Kentucky. Semantha, the younger and prettier one, is afraid of so many things— darkness, strange noises, mysterious whispers in the night. But nothing frightens her more than her sister, Cassie. She is older and wiser, and always telling Semantha what to do, what to wear, and how to behave around those wicked boys at school. Semantha has her eye on one special guy—but Cassie has other plans for her. In the Heavenstone house, big sister knows best.

. . . AND THERE’S NO ESCAPE.

When tragedy strikes like a lightning bolt from heaven, Semantha’s life becomes a living hell. Under Cassie’s constant, watchful eye, she feels like a prisoner—a helpless pawn in her sister’s cruel game. When Cassie begins wearing their mother’s clothes and vying for their father’s affections, Semantha realizes she must bring their twisted sibling rivalry to an end . . . before a new generation is born.

MY REVIEW
This book was absolute trash and that's why I liked reading it LOL! It's to be expected really when you pick up a V.C. Andrews book written in the last ten years(she's been dead for a while but they still have other people writing as ghost writers using her name) I was in the mood for a trashy book and knew what I was getting into. I will admit sometimes trashy books are guilty pleasures of mine LOL!!!!! The book is a fast read and very predictable but it helped pass some time so I read it. Most books I hate, I hate because people make them out to be wonderful, in reality they really aren't. You don't get that with modern V.C. Andrews books, you know it's gonna be trashy the moment you pick it up! Semantha Heavanstone(and no I didn't misspell it,they wrote it like that all through the book) is a 9th grader who has a perfect older sister Cassie who bosses her around all the time. Semantha never really sticks up for herself, and her family is super rich. Her mother finds out she is pregnant with a son and so it sets things into motion with Cassie caring for her,but soon she has a miscarriage and dies herself not too long after. You get this weird feeling about Cassie because she love her dad a lil too much(made me a lil uncomfortable at times, don't worry there's no incest in this V.C.Andrews book)Basically Cassie is someone who does anything in her power to look perfect in her dad's eyes. She soon tries to take her mother's place from cooking to even dressing in her mom's old clothes, jewelry, and makeup after she dies. Read it for yourself if you want to know more(I left quite a bit out just for the fun of it).

The Wildflowers Cat-V.C. Andrews

CAT...Like the other girls, Cat has a story of her own. But maybe she should lie—just make something up. Because the truth is more horrifying than the others could possibly imagine...

MY REVIEW

Secrets In The Shadows-V.C. Andrews

Everyone Says

Her Mother Was Crazy.

Is She Doomed to Repeat the Past?

Up in the attic, that's where Alice's mother used to escape to...and it's where, so Alice has been told, she plotted the murder of her own stepfather. Now, years later, with her mother locked away for life, the attic is where Alice finds comfort in her aloneness, writing poetry and painting pictures. When Alice finally finds the courage to come out of her shell, exchanging her dowdy looks for flattering clothes and makeup, her life completely opens up — she even attends the prom with a cute, popular boy. But it's a night that turns quickly tragic — sending her newfound happiness crashing down around her, and hurtling Alice into a shattering new life, one that leads her to a shocking reunion with the shadows she had fled.

From the imagination behind Flowers in the Attic comes a sensational new novel that spins a seductive web between fantasies and lies — and uncovers the price for keeping secrets in the shadows.

MY REVIEW
Loved it. Not as much as Secrets In The Attic but still loved it. And I was wondering if I was ever gonna find out what happened afterwards to her daughter and I'm glad I read it.

Delia's Gift-V.C. Andrews

HOPE IS SHATTERED...

La esperanza se destruye

No amount of money can keep heartbreak away: Delia Yebarra learned that painful lesson after a boating tragedy ended her fairy-tale romance with Adan Bovia, a wealthy politician's son. But when she discovers she is carrying his child, Delia has no choice but to live under the watchful eye of Adan's powerful father, who blamed Delia for the deadly accident but soon puts her health and the safe delivery of his grandchild above his resentments. Or so Delia believed.

BUT LOVE BRINGS NEW LIFE...

Pero el amor sopla una nueva vida

For Adan's father intends to use his connections to blackmail Delia. A cruel nursemaid monitors her every move. And a manipulative schemer orchestrates a reunion with Delia's cousin Edward — a visit with grave consequences. But after tiny Adan Jr. arrives, Delia is no longer fighting for herself but for everything she ever believed, back when she was a Mexican country girl. Can Delia recapture the innocence of her roots and make a bright future for her family?

MY REVIEW
I liked this whole series all together. It kept me entertained and it may not be the best literature and a lil trashy at times but it was interesting all the same. A lot of parts made me angry and sad because I am a mother myself and I ask myself how could someone try and keep a mother from her baby like that?

The first in a three book series by VC Andrews, DELIA'S CROSSING features a young girl who comes from Mexico to live with a rich aunt in Palm Springs.

MY REVIEW
Delia's parents are killed and she is sent to live with her mother's rich sister in America where things are different than the way she was raised in Mexico. She's an outcast in her family and the only one she trusts is her cousin Edward.  She learns the hard way not to trust people. I liked this book,it's like a soap opera lol! You know most stuff in this book would probably never happen in real life but you can't help but read it anyways.

MY REVIEW
I really liked this book and the characters in it. It kept me hooked from beginning to end. I liked the decade it was set in and the plot. I'm a huge fan of V.C. Andrews(and yes I know she's been dead forever and is still popping out books lol) I'm not sure of the real authors name but whoever wrote this book I just want you to know I really liked it!
