Rated 7/10

Lucy Scarborough is seventeen when she discovers that the women of her family have been cursed through the generations, forced to attempt three seemingly impossible tasks or to fall into madness upon their child’s birth. How can Lucy succeed when all of her ancestors have tried and failed? But Lucy is the first girl who won’t be alone as she tackles the list. She has her fiercely protective foster parents beside her. And she has Zach, whose strength amazes her more each day. Do they have enough love and resolve to overcome an age-old evil?
Inspired by the ballad “Scarborough Fair,” this spellbinding novel combines suspense, fantasy, and romance for an intense and masterfully original tale

MY REVIEW
I liked this book,it was OK. It wasn't the best or the worst I have ever read. Some parts were kinda borning to me and I had to force myself to read them. This book has a lil fantasy added but it's not got too much on the subject in it. The story is about 17 year old Lucy who has lived with foster parents(Soledad and Leo) her whole life because her mother(Miranda) is a crazy bag lady they hardly see. Then one night at her junior prom Lucy is raped and soon after learns she is pregnant and of the curse of her family, all the Scarborough women always get pregnant and have a daughter at 18 and go crazy soon after because they never finish the tasks in the song the Elfin Knight has set for them. Soon Lucy is overcoming all odds and also finds true love in her bestfriend Zach.I loved the plot,it's original, but I think so much more could have been done with it. Like I said it's an OK book,it might be just me, so go read it and find out for yourself!
