Blue Noon by Scott Westerfeld

Author: Scott Westerfeld
 Reading level: Young Adult
Publisher: HarperTeen

Rated 9/10

The five teenage Midnighters of Bixby, Oklahoma, thought they understood the secret midnight hour—until one morning when time freezes in the middle of the day.
The noise of school stops. Cheerleaders are frozen in midair. Everything is the haunted blue color of the midnight hour.
As the Midnighters scramble for answers, they discover that the walls between the secret hour and real time are crumbling. Soon the dark creatures will break through to feed at last . . . unless these five teenagers can find a way to stop them.

MY REVIEW
This is the third and final book in the Midnighters trilogy.LOVED IT!!!!! I'm a lil sad now that I'm done reading them, they were really good books. Jessica got on my nerves throughout the whole series, though she was more selfish, whiny, and annoying in this book. After what happened at the end though I sort of felt sorry for her and those feelings toward her kinda melted away for me. In this book the rules are changing, something big is happening in Bixby and the surrounding areas. Blue time has started coming during the day and at unexpected hours. The Midnighters have no clue what's going on at first, but soon learn of the Darklings and their plans when the blue time will make them the top of the food chain again. Rex deals his new dark half and Jessica deals with her sister snooping around trying to find out why Jessica has been acting so strange. I don't really want to give to much away,so go read it now! If you haven't read the Midnighter's series then you really don't know what you're missing!

Touching Darkness by Scott Westerfeld

Author: Scott Westerfeld
Reading level: Young Adult
Publisher: HarperTeen

Rated 9/10

As they continue to battle evil creatures living in an hour hidden at midnight, Jessica and her new friends learn about Bixby, Oklahoma's shadowy past and uncover a deadly conspiracy that reaches beyond the secret hour.

MY REVIEW
This is the second book in the Midnighters trilogy! It was awesome, this series is starting to grow on me. I'm gonna be sad when I finish reading the third and final book :(. Although I'm gonna say Jessica kind of got on my nerves just a lil in this book, that being said it's still an awesome book!! The plot is still original, fun, and fast paced. In the second book they find out there are daylight people who know about the secret hour and Midnighters, who are contacting the darklings. Dess discovers a Midnighter from an older generation(they had never met one before). She learns what happened to the older generations and that the Darklings want a Midnighter to make a halfing(half Midnighter, half darkling). Rex and Melissa get closer and Melissa learns how to deal with her gift.

I love this picture of the Midnighters, I just had to add it!! I don't own it and take no ownership or rights to it, I got it from here

Also loved this pic, got it from here .

The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfeld

Author: Scott Westerfeld
Reading level: Young Adult
Publisher: HarperTeen

Rated 9/10

Upon moving to Bixby, Oklahoma, fifteen-year-old Jessica Day learns that she is one of a group of people who have special abilities that help them fight ancient creatures living in an hour hidden at midnight; creatures that seem determined to destroy Jess.

MY REVIEW
This is the first book in the Midnighters trilogy. I happen to really like this book. It has an original plot, likeable characters, it was a fast and easy read. In the town of Bixby, Oklahoma there are two types of people, Daylight people and the Midnighters. The Midnighters are a speacial group of people who can move around at the 25th hour(there are 25 hours in this world) of the day at midnight for an hour while time and everyone but them are frozen . It's a time where creatures called darklings and slithers come out. One day a new girl named Jessica moves to town and learns of the Midnighters and their world when she is chased and almost killed by a darkling. There's something special about Jessica and the Darklings want her gone. I suggest this book to anyone who really loves to read
