Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Author: Suzanne Collins
Reading level: Young Adult
 Publisher: Scholastic Press

Rated 10/10

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.
MY REVIEW
This is the second book in The Hunger Games series.I absolutely loved it. It was even more action packed then the first book. I'm telling people not to judge a book by its cover again. This book and the first book don't have a very interesting or eye catching cover but they are wonderful books(The Hollow has a beautiful cover but I didn't find the book very good) I'm addicted to this series and I'm prolly gonna go mad until the third one comes out in about 6 months(It's January now). The story begins with Katniss and her life after the Hunger Games. She's back at home living in a new house with her mom and younger sister Prim. She has everything she could ever want for and new friends. She still hunts(mostly for Gale now,cuz he works in the mines) Then the day comes when she has to leave for the tour(where the winner of the Hunger Games, her and Peeta) tour the districts with lots of celebrations(it's just another reminder to the districts about the Hunger Games to throw in their faces) She has to convince all of Panem she's actually in love with Peeta(read the first book to find out why). After the tour, revolts begin to happen in other districts(which Katniss found out accidently) and this year's Hunger Games(which is a speacial cuz every 25 years they do something different) is set into motion. a male and a female winner of the past Hunger Games has to go back and fight to the death(it's something different every 25 years).Katniss and Peeta are thrown back into the games only to find out things they never knew. That's all I'm giving away(go read the book now!!!!!!!!!!!!) :)
